Healthy Planet, Healthy Futures:
Community Empowerment and Climate Resilience Across Borders
Embracing the spirit of global solidarity, Lunas Global Health Network recognizes that health and climate issues are acutely felt in Southeast Asian and other Global South countries but can be understood from every national context. In the face of shared challenges, on March 23 we launched our Healthy Planet, Healthy Futures campaign, seeking to deepen collective understandings of health in our own local contexts as we extend our support towards disaster relief and other climate-related health initiatives globally. We believe that coordinated education, advocacy, relief efforts and basic medical services can empower communities in the Global North and South to combine forces in confronting the climate crisis and improving the health of marginalized communities.

1. Health for the People Reading Group
Join us in exploring the themes of health, climate change, and global solidarity through monthly reading and discussion groups that aim to cultivate a shared understanding of our local and global contexts, from the US to Southeast Asia and beyond.
2. Climate Resilience Fund
Donate to support disaster relief, education and climate-related initiatives in Southeast Asia, fostering long-term resilience within communities facing the brunt of the climate crisis.
3. International internship opportunities
Our internships provide a platform for hands-on experience through collaboration with partner institutions in Cambodia and the Philippines, allowing participants to contribute to our ongoing programs and gain valuable insights into the intersections of health and climate change.
