Seisha Centeno - she/they
Seisha Centeno is a Filipino-American harm reductionist, artist, and medical student living outside Philadelphia, PA. Through advocating for patient rights in street medicine and community organizing spaces, Seisha has grown intimately aware of both the systemic suffering intertwined with health inequity as well as the transformative strength of collective unity and action. Seisha is thrilled to continue advocating alongside Lunas, build networks of solidarity, and support the global struggle for the right to health.

Andrés Peña Tauber - he/him
Andrés Peña Tauber is a health worker, researcher, and advocate originally from Ecuador and now based out of Northern California. He works as part of a research team studying neurodegenerative disease at Stanford University, and is driven to volunteer with Lunas to be in service to communities most at risk due to rising global issues such as climate change. He has been fascinated with science ever since he can remember and believes in its potential to do unprecedented good — as long as it is rooted in true wellbeing and takes appropriate guidance from communities. He is thrilled to work with Lunas Global Health Network to advocate for better health and living conditions in the Philippines, Cambodia, and around the world, and contribute to an understanding of global health from an integrated social and ecological standpoint.

Meredith Mase, MPH, MPH - she/her
Meredith Mase is a lifelong student, advocate, and future educator from Western Massachusetts. Meredith is deeply passionate about reproductive and sexual health service access, education, and justice. Relentlessly inspired to work towards a healthier future for the world, Meredith is humbled to collaborate in support of Lunas's mission through disseminating lessons about healthcare as a human right, while working to uphold this right in the Philippines, and building and sustaining global solidarity. Meredith received Masters of Public Health from the University of Michigan in Health Management & Policy and Health Behavior & Health Education.

Board Member
Rachel Sun Endoso - she/her
Rachel Sun Endoso is Filipina American artist, writer, healthcare worker and advocate for human rights, based in New York. With a commitment to serve populations in need, she received her B.A. in Psychology, and has served on the front lines of behavioral and mental health care for over 10 years, as well as served in the development of non-profit arts communities of color public programs. Rachel has become deeply invested in the cross sections of public health and mental health, and critically considers issues as inequities of human rights. Rachel completed her M.A. Visual and Critical Studies to investigate historical factors of race and colonization that still perpetuate inequity today in the Philippines and globally. Rachel is humbled to join Lunas Global Health Network, to continue advocating for public health as a human right worldwide.

Cristina Rey - she/her
Cristina Rey is a writer, educator, and advocate born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. As a child navigating chronic illness, she was troubled by the disparities in healthcare between herself and her family members in the Philippines, who had a much more difficult time accessing medicine and affordable care than she did. As an undergraduate, she received the Gregory S. Call Research Grant to conduct participatory-action research in Luzon and Mindanao, learning first hand about the struggle for education and healthcare amongst marginalized communities in the Philippines. Cristina is excited to serve on Lunas-USA’s board, connecting her personal experiences with the collective responsibility to uphold the right to health throughout the Philippines and around the world.

Joseph Centeno - he/they
Joseph Centeno is a student organizer from the Philadelphia area. Their Lolo & Lola emigrated from the Philippines to the United States as healthcare workers like many Filipinos do. They left due to the Philippines’ poor healthcare infrastructure and reliance on the export of labor, seeking a way to provide for their families. Joseph joined Lunas to utilize their position in the diaspora to advocate for the right to health of all people and the necessity to improve healthcare in the Philippines.

Jackson Lee - he/him
Jackson Lee is an undergraduate student at Amherst College from Portland, Oregon majoring in Biochemistry. His goal is to study medicine, both in a scientific and humanitarian capacity, using his studies to advocate for communities ignored by modern healthcare and science. As a step in that journey, Jackson volunteers with Lunas Global Health Network USA in order to help address the issues and inequities with healthcare in the Philippines from a grassroots, pro-people, scientific perspective.

Brooke LaMere is a Maternal and Child Health Epidemiologist who centers equity and empathy in the work she conducts. Brooke is interesting in ethical research and ethical partnerships between organizations and communities. She is excited for the opportunity to volunteer with Lunas Global Health Network as her values align with the overall mission in sustainable and accessible health care.

Rizza Santos - she/her
Rizza Santos is an undergraduate student at Amherst College majoring in biology. As a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines feeling disconnected from her country, she joined Lunas Global Health Network USA as a volunteer because she wants to connect her study of science and medicine to her place of birth while broadening her knowledge about the healthcare disparities the Philippines faces. She is passionate about educating others regarding the issues of marginalization and health in the Philippines and to become a better public health advocate.

Ella Jean Raymundo
Ella Jean Raymundo is a student at Amherst College majoring in Biology. Born and raised in the Philippines, Ella Jean has always been aware of the interconnectedness of our environment and human health. Ella Jean aims to pursue a career in medicine and global healthcare, with the ultimate goal of being able to do preventative work for diseases in disadvantaged communities. Ella Jean is passionate about bridging socioeconomic disparities in healthcare and educating others about the importance of living sustainably for a better Earth. As a volunteer with Lunas, Ella Jean is excited to learn about grassroots healthcare all while being able to help her home country.
